KATE BACKDROP

Project Story
Kate Backdrop came to us as an already established photography brand with a large audience, strong social media presence, and the trust of thousands of customers. While the website had already been designed by our team several years earlier, the company’s positioning had evolved over time, with a clearer focus on photographers creating family, wedding, children’s, maternity, birthday, holiday, fashion, and other emotional visual stories.
We created a new brand style direction and website redesign that better expressed this warmer and more joyful positioning. The goal was to move beyond a simple product catalog and build a digital experience filled with celebration, happy moments, creative energy, and visual inspiration. Alongside the refreshed style, we improved the website structure and user experience, making it easier and more enjoyable for customers to explore the collections and find the right backdrop for their shoot.
FAQs
a good strategy
Yes. A redesign is not always about fixing a bad website. Sometimes the brand has simply grown, the audience has changed, or the positioning has become more focused. For Kate Backdrop, our team had already designed the website several years earlier, but the company evolved and needed a new visual direction that better reflected its current audience and emotional brand focus.
When a brand already has thousands of customers and strong recognition, redesign needs to be careful. The goal is not to make the website feel like a completely different company, but to update the visual direction around the brand’s current positioning. For Kate Backdrop, we kept the trust and familiarity of an established brand while making the experience warmer, more emotional, and more aligned with the way customers use the products today.
Yes. Kate Backdrop serves different types of buyers, from photographers creating client sessions to people preparing special events or themed shoots. The website needs to feel professional enough for creators, but still simple, warm, and easy to use for customers who are choosing a backdrop for a personal moment.
For photography products, customers are not only buying an item — they are buying the look and feeling of a future image. A strong visual atmosphere helps them imagine the final photo, trust the style, and choose the product that fits their story. For Kate Backdrop, this emotional layer was central to the redesign.
We focused on making the website more visually inspiring and easier to evaluate, so users could better understand the atmosphere, style, and use case of each backdrop before choosing it. This helps reduce hesitation and makes the shopping experience feel more confident.
For creative e-commerce, conversion is not only about discounts or aggressive CTAs. It is about helping customers feel sure that the product is right for their shoot. We improve conversion through clearer navigation, stronger product context, better visual storytelling, trust-building details, and a smoother path from inspiration to purchase. The website can stay joyful and creative while still guiding users toward action naturally.
